Introduction

LEVOSALBUTAMOL+IPRATROPIUM BROMIDE is a combination medication used to treat or prevent chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) symptoms such as shortness of breath, coughing, or wheezing (whistling sound while breathing). COPD is a group of lung diseases that includes emphysema (breathing difficulty caused by a damaged air sac) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation and narrowing of the lining of airways or bronchial tubes).

LEVOSALBUTAMOL+IPRATROPIUM BROMIDE is a bronchodilator combination of Levosalbutamol and Ipratropium bromide. LEVOSALBUTAMOL+IPRATROPIUM BROMIDE is a bronchodilator that works by relaxing muscles and widening the lungs’ airways. As a result, we can breathe more easily.

Usage

Before using an inhaler or keyhaler, shake it well and read the instructions on the label. With the mouthpiece facing down, hold the inhaler/ keyhaler  Seal your lips around the mouthpiece by placing it between your teeth. Then, once again, press down on the inhaler to release the medication. Slowly inhale and hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds. Breathe slowly out. Repeat the procedure until you have inhaled the prescribed number of puffs. To avoid fungal infections in the mouth and throat, rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after using an inhaler/keyhaler.

• Consume potassium-rich foods such as tomatoes, bananas, asparagus, oranges, potatoes, avocados, dark leafy greens, and beetroots because potassium is essential for lung function and a potassium deficiency can cause breathing problems.
• Drink plenty of fluids every day to thin mucus and make coughing easier.
• Consume complex carbohydrates such as lentils, beans, barley, oats, quinoa, bran, peas, and skinned potatoes.
• Limit or avoid caffeinated beverages such as tea, coffee, soda, and energy drinks such as Red Bull.
• Consume protein-rich foods like meat, fish (especially salmon, sardines, eggs, and poultry).
• Exercise on a regular basis to help your breathing muscles and immune system. Learning breathing exercises will assist you in moving more air in and out of your lungs.
