GYFLO-F – Glycopyrrolate + Formoterol are used together for the long-term maintenance therapy of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Bronchospasm, or wheezing or trouble breathing, is a symptom of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD is a group of lung conditions that include chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tube) and emphysema (shortness of breath). Breathing becomes challenging in COPD because the muscles surrounding the airways stiffen.
This combined medication prevents tightening of the muscles in the airways and makes it easier for the air to get in and out. The secretions in the airways are reduced by glycopyrrolate. When taken together, FORMOTEROL FUMARATE+GLYCOPYRROLATE relieves COPD.
These medications namely bronchodilator and formoterol expand the airways by relaxing the muscles that surround them. Glycopyrrolate functions as an anticholinergic by reducing airway secretions. When combined, they facilitate breathing.
Depending on your medical condition, you should take FORMOTEROL FUMARATE+GLYCOPYRROLATE for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. To get better results take this medication as advised by your doctor. Common side effects include headache, nausea, dry mouth, chest pain, cramping in your muscles, lightheadedness, and frequent urination can occasionally occur. The majority of these side effects go away on their own with time and don’t need medical intervention. However, if the adverse effects develop or continue, you should consult your doctor.
