The combination medication FORMOTEROL FUMARATE+FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE is primarily used to treat and prevent asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Asthma is a chronic (long-term) respiratory condition in which the airways narrow, swell, and produce excess mucus, making breathing difficult. COPD is a group of lung diseases that includes emphysema (breathing difficulty) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of bronchial tubes).
Inhaler: Hold the inhaler so that the mouthpiece is facing down. Place your lips around the mouthpiece to form a tight seal. Begin breathing slowly through your mouth and press the inhaler once. Remove the inhaler and resume normal breathing.
Before taking formoterol, inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it, similar bronchodilators (such as albuterol, arformoterol, metaproterenol, salmeterol), sympathomimetic drugs (such as epinephrine, pseudoephedrine), or any other medications. This medication may cause dizziness. You may become dizzy if you consume alcohol or marijuana (cannabis).
