Pantoprazole

Pantoprazole is a (PPI) Proton pump Inhibitor that works on the upper body by reducing the Acid from the stomach and improving the digestive system. It removes the heartburn from the stomach.

Domperidone

It is a prokinetic that works on the upper digestive tract to improve the health of the stomach. Domperidone helps in allowing the food more easily in the stomach without any disturbance. It also helps in releasing the prolonged from the stomach.

Guidelines for using

If you are using Pantoprazole Gastro resistant & Domperidone prolonged-release capsules IP then follow the guidelines for using it:-

Using

Take the capsule without chewing and crushing. Take it 30 minutes before the meal. With that, both drugs will easily be absorbed in the body and react effectively.

Duration

Duration depends on the situation. If you are suffering from GERD, then it will take up to 8 weeks whereas the typical course is 4-6 weeks of this capsule.

Missed dose

if you have missed your dose, then ensure that take it as soon as possible but if it is the time of the next dose then ignore the missed dose and regularize the dose. Don’t overdose in any conditions.

Precautions While taking Pranptoprazole + Domperidone SR

While using or before using Pranptoprazole and Domperidone capsules, you have to take some precautions that are:

Risk of QT prolongation

If you are suffering or have a chance of QT Prolongation then use it with caution. The people who have the chance of heart disease or patients of heart, avoid taking this medicine due to interaction of drug molecules in the heart.

Liver and Kidney Impairment

Those patients who are impaired with liver and kidney should not take Pantoprazole + Domperidone SR due to active ingredients. These ingredients can be harmful to the liver and kidney if you have any disease in the past of present.

Be cautious with long-term use.

This medicine is only used for 4 weeks minimum and 8 weeks maximum. Use More than 8 weeks can be harmful. Only if your doctor suggests you take these capsules long-term. Without a consultant, avoid taking it for more than 8 weeks.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding then first inform your doctor. If they advise you to take this capsule then take it otherwise avoid this capsule. Sometimes, it makes an impact on your chest or stomach.
