Floven – AZ Nasal Spray

Uses

This medicine is used to treat nasal symptoms of seasonal allergies, including runny or stuffy noses, itching, sneezing, and post-nasal drip. There are 2 medications in it. Azelastine is an antihistamine that blocks specific histamines, which are organic compounds that cause allergic reactions. Fluticasone is a member of the corticosteroid medication subclass. It functions by lowering nasal passage swelling (inflammation).

Side Effects of Floven – AZ Nasal Spray

• It’s possible to experience drowsiness, nasal dryness or irritation, minor nosebleeds, or a change in taste. Inform your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible if any of these side effects persist or get worse.
• Keep in mind that your doctor has recommended this medication because they believe it will benefit you more than it will harm you. Many users of this medicine report no significant negative effects.
• If you experience any severe side effects, such as frequent nosebleeds, pain in your nose, a whistling sound when you breathe, eye pain, or infection-related symptoms (such as a sore throat that won’t go away, white patches in your nose or back of your throat, fever, or chills), call your doctor right away.
• Very rarely, corticosteroids administered via the nose could enter the bloodstream. This may result in adverse corticosteroid side effects. Children and those who take this drug often and in large doses for a long time are more prone to experience these negative effects. Immediately notify your doctor if any of the following negative effects develop: unexpected or excessive fatigue, weight loss, headache, swollen ankles or feet, increased urine, or thirst, and eyesight issues.

Precautions

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any other allergies before using this medicine, especially if they relate to azelastine or fluticasone. Inactive chemicals in this product have the potential to trigger allergic reactions or other issues. To learn more, speak with your pharmacist.

Inform your doctor or pharmacist about your medical history before using this drug, particularly of: recent nasal issues (such as injury, ulcers, surgery), current/past infections (including tuberculosis, herpes eye infection), and specific eye issues (glaucoma, cataracts).

You could feel sleepy after using this medication. You may become more sleepy after consuming alcohol or marijuana (cannabis). Till you can do it safely, avoid operating machinery, driving, or doing anything else that requires alertness. Avoid drinking alcohol. Consult your physician if you use marijuana (cannabis).
