Usage

To get the most out of this medication, take it on a regular basis. This medication works best when taken at regular intervals. Use it at the same times every day to help you remember. Do not increase your dose, take it more frequently, or discontinue it without first consulting your doctor. Additionally, do not take any other long-acting beta agonists while taking this medication.

If you take a different corticosteroid by mouth on a regular basis (such as prednisone), you should not stop taking it unless directed by your doctor. Some conditions (such as asthma and allergies) may worsen if the drug is abruptly discontinued. If you stop taking the drug abruptly, you may experience withdrawal symptoms (such as weakness, weight loss, nausea, muscle pain, headache, tiredness, dizziness). After you start using budesonide/formoterol, your doctor may gradually reduce the dose of your old medication to help prevent withdrawal. If you experience withdrawal symptoms, contact your doctor or pharmacist right away. Also see the Precautions section.

• Side Effects
  Headache, throat irritation, or stomach upset are all possible side effects. Inform your doctor right away if any of these side effects persist or worsen.
• Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because the benefit to you outweighs the risk of side effects. Many people who take this medication have no serious side effects.
• This medication may cause an increase in your blood pressure. Check your blood pressure on a regular basis and notify your doctor if it is high.
• This medication may cause severe, sudden worsening of breathing problems/asthma immediately after use in rare cases. If your breathing suddenly worsens, use your quick-relief inhaler and seek medical attention immediately.
• Notify your doctor right away if you experience any serious side effects, such as: white patches on your tongue or in your mouth, signs of infection (such as persistent sore throat or fever), mental/mood changes (such as nervousness), difficulty sleeping, vision problems (such as blurred vision), increased thirst/urination, muscle cramps, or shaking (tremors).
• If you experience any of the following extremely serious side effects, seek medical attention immediately: chest pain, fast/slow/irregular heartbeat, severe dizziness, fainting, or seizures.

Precautions
Before taking this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to budesonide, formoterol, arformoterol, or any other medications. Inactive ingredients in this product may cause allergic reactions or other problems. For more information, consult your pharmacist.
