Usage
If you are using the inhaler for the first time, if you have not used it in more than 7 days, or if the inhaler was dropped, follow the priming instructions. When priming the inhaler, spray away from the face to avoid getting the medication into your eyes.
Before each use, thoroughly shake the inhaler for 5 seconds. Inhale this medication by mouth, usually twice daily, as directed by your doctor (in the morning and evening, 12 hours apart).
Wait at least one minute between puffs if your prescribed dose is two. If you are using other inhalers at the same time, wait at least 1 minute between each medication before using this one.
Side Effects
Headache, throat irritation, or stomach upset are all possible side effects. Inform your doctor right away if any of these side effects persist or worsen.
Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because the benefit to you outweighs the risk of side effects. Many people who take this medication have no serious side effects.
This medication may cause an increase in your blood pressure. Check your blood pressure on a regular basis and notify your doctor if it is high.
This medication may cause severe, sudden worsening of breathing problems/asthma immediately after use in rare cases. If your breathing suddenly worsens, use your quick-relief inhaler and seek medical attention immediately.
Notify your doctor right away if you experience any serious side effects, such as: white patches on your tongue or in your mouth, signs of infection (such as persistent sore throat or fever), mental/mood changes (such as nervousness), difficulty sleeping, vision problems (such as blurred vision), increased thirst/urination, muscle cramps, or shaking (tremors).
If you experience any of the following extremely serious side effects, seek medical attention immediately: chest pain, fast/slow/irregular heartbeat, severe dizziness, fainting, or seizures.
Precautions
Before taking this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to budesonide, formoterol, arformoterol, or any other medications. Inactive ingredients in this product may cause allergic reactions or other problems. For more information, consult your pharmacist.
