Imipenem 500mg + Cilastatin 500mg
Description
Working
Imipenem + Cilastatin is a medication combination that contains both Imipenem and Cilastatin. Imipenem is a type of antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective coating, which is required for bacteria to survive in the human body. Cilastatin is a dehydropeptidase I inhibitor that inhibits the activity of an enzyme (dehydropeptidase I) that causes Imipenem breakdown. As a result, it allows Imipenem to remain active in your body for a longer period of time.
